busy busy busy

Things have been busy busy busy! As some of you know, I have just finished one of the hardest, if not THE hardest, rotation this year. It really helps that one of the residents (a doctor, but not board certified internist yet) is a great friend. I am, officially, her wedding planner! I made it. I am alive. I guess I feel a little smarter. It wasn't everything I imagined, but it was good. Unfortunately, there is one resident that treats all of us like techs, and a stupid one at that. We are there for watch her act like a doctor. And I say act because she has never made decision on her own. NEVER. Oh well. I can only hope that I am a better doctor than her.

Have I ever mentioned how amazing technology is? My dad sent me a text message yesterday. That may not seem like a lot, but he is in Malaysia and you have to dial about 21 numbers to talk to him, and he just sent a text! Amazing, right?

Well, the rotation I am on now is me, and 4 students that are from off-shore schools- so I have never met them before... it has been fun getting to know them. They are all really fun, nice, and smart. I am on food animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Washburn (the CVF sponsor and bible study leader) is the clinician in charge. It is fun and every day I learn something. It is a different world over there. An appointment in small animal in $100; an appointment in food animal is $16!

Well, it's been a while, and this has bend a long post. I am waiting for board scores and my match for the intern program. (I get that the same day I take off for Malaysia) I have a really really busy 6 weeks coming up and I need every one's thoughts and prayers. Love all of yall and I can't wait to see mom and dad really soon!

The pic is my coolest patient of the day... it was a pot-bellied pig that was lame for the last 4 days. She weighed 122lbs!!!
